The service

Mel’s Workshop is designed for college applicants who already have a complete draft. Responses & Suggested Edits provides grammar and clarity suggestions, margin comments, structure and flow feedback, and revision priorities. Polished Final Draft returns a clean, polished version of the student’s existing essay, with attention to grammar, wording, repetition, and transitions.

Your writing and authorship

You provide your own draft, experiences, and ideas. The editor proposes changes; you decide what to accept. The service does not write an application essay from scratch, invent experiences, submit an application on your behalf, or promise an admission outcome. You are responsible for following your application’s rules and submitting your work on time.

Scope and limits

Each order covers one essay up to 650 words or 4,000 characters. The application’s own length limit is collected separately. A longer essay, a second essay, or additional scope needs a separate arrangement before payment. DOCX uploads must be valid Word documents smaller than 10 MB. Google Doc access must be verified before checkout.

Timing and availability

The proposed turnaround is 5 business days for Responses & Suggested Edits and 7 business days for Polished Final Draft, beginning after payment and access are confirmed. Business days are Monday through Friday. Holiday and unusually close deadlines require an availability check. An estimated date shown before payment is not a confirmed delivery promise.

Payment

Your review page shows the selected service and total price before checkout. A saved submission remains unpaid until the payment provider confirms payment. Canceling checkout does not mark the order paid. Return to the same confirmation link to retry; do not submit a second order for the same draft. Preview submissions never collect payment.

Questions and another review

Describe follow-up and revisions here. A full review of a newly revised draft is not included unless expressly agreed.

Cancellations and service concerns

The editor’s cancellation and refund policy must be finalized before paid orders open. During this preview, no payments are accepted. If you have an issue with your submission or feedback, contact the studio with your order reference so the editor can review it in writing.

Privacy and permissions

Your essay remains private by default. The privacy policy describes document access, data collection, and the proposed retention process. Testimonials and real excerpts require separate permission.
